Are you looking for a way to enrich your class, student organization, or club meeting? The Office of Equity, Civil Rights, & Title IX offers "Equity Essentials: Campus Rights & Resources," a concise yet impactful presentation.
Topics Include:
- Baylor’s mission-driven approach to ensuring fairness and dignity for all students.
- How to access support services and navigate university resources.
- Practical steps Baylor is taking to promote a Christ-centered, respectful, and just community.
This session is an excellent opportunity to reinforce Baylor’s commitment to faith-based care, and we are happy to provide refreshments or giveaways to make the experience even more engaging.

In keeping with Baylor’s commitment to fairness, respect, and reconciliation, this training introduces participants to options available under the Civil Rights and Sexual and Interpersonal Misconduct (SIM) policies. Special focus is given to the Adaptable Resolution process, which allows for resolution grounded values of accountability, care, and restoration.
Length of Training: 20-30 Minutes
Restorative practices, rooted in principles of reconciliation and community-building, offer meaningful ways to address conflict and strengthen relationships. Circles provide a space for connection, understanding, and dialogue, reflecting principles of peace and restoration. This training introduces participants to:
- Different types of restorative practices and their applications.
- The role of circles.
- Practical applications for using restorative approaches in academic, professional, and community settings.
This session encourages participants to use dialogue as a tool for healing, relationship-building, and reconciliation.
Length of Training: 90-120 Minutes
Following Christ’s example of standing up for others, this training empowers participants to intervene in situations where harm, injustice, or wrongdoing may occur. Through discussion and real-world examples, participants will learn:
- The history and importance of bystander intervention in promoting safety and accountability.
- Practical intervention strategies, including the 5 D’s approach.
- Overcoming barriers to intervention and responding in a safe, Christ-honoring way.
- Knowing when and how to escalate concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Participants will leave equipped to be active, faith-driven contributors to a safe and caring community.
