Sugar Ellis

Sugar joined the Equity, Civil Rights, and Title IX team in September of 2021 as the Office Manager. She transitioned to the role of Equity Process Specialist in April of 2025.  As the Equity Process Specialist, Sugar has oversight of incoming Civil Rights and Title IX first reports, litigation requests, confidential resource reports, and academic records production requests.  

Prior to joining Baylor, Sugar worked in Human Resources for over four years. In her role as a Human Resources Assistant, Sugar managed day-to-day office operations, connected community members to appropriate personnel, assisted with new employee onboarding, organized student employee orientations, and helped with staff & faculty events. Sugar earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from Northwest University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
